Privacy Policy

databit.me is built to need as little personal information as possible. There are no user accounts, and the tools work without sign-up.

What we collect

• Email address. If you request the free cheat sheet, we store your email address (and which page you signed up from). We use it to deliver the sheet and to send occasional databit.me updates.
• Contact messages. If you use the contact form, we store your name, email address and message so we can read and respond to it.
• Calculator inputs. Numbers you enter in calculators stay in your browser. When you copy a share link, the numbers are part of that link's address; we don't store them.

Cookies, advertising and affiliate links

databit.me shows ads provided by Google AdSense and may in future show ads from other networks. These partners, including Google, use cookies and similar technology to show ads, limit how often you see them, measure performance and, where permitted, personalise ads based on your visits to this and other websites. They may collect information such as your IP address and browser details for these purposes.

You can manage or turn off personalised ads at Google Ad Settings or aboutads.info, and you can block or clear cookies in your browser settings. Blocking cookies won't stop the tools from working.

Shop buttons are affiliate links: if you click one and buy, the retailer may pay us a commission and may set its own cookies. See the affiliate disclosure.

How long we keep it

We keep email addresses until you ask us to remove them, and contact messages for as long as needed to deal with your request.

Your choices

You can ask us to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you at any time through the contact page. You can also block or clear cookies in your browser settings.

Sharing

We don't sell your personal information. We only share it with service providers that help us run the site, and when the law requires it.

Children

databit.me is a general-audience electronics site and is not directed at children under 13. Please don't submit personal information if you are under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
